1. About the Service

  • What is the Expo P&R (Park and Ride) parking lot?

    Answer

    This is a paid parking lot located in Maishima, Amagasaki, and Sakai exclusively for visitors to the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
    From the parking lot, you will take a shuttle bus to the venue.
    Reservations must be made at least one day in advance.
    As a general rule, we recommend that you use public transportation such as trains and buses to get to the venue, but if you have to use your own car, please use this reservation system.

    *There is no additional charge for using the P&R shuttle bus.

  • What can I do with Expo P&R parking reservation system?

    Answer

    Expo P&R parking reservation system allows you to make reservations in advance for Expo P&R parking spaces.
    Once your parking reservation is confirmed, you will also receive Shuttle bus ticket from the parking lot to the venue.

    *This system can also be used to reserve Yumeshima Accessible Parking and Yumeshima Bicycle Parking.

  • Do I need to register as a member?

    Answer

    Since you can log in with Expo ID, there is no need to register as a member for this system.

  • What is Expo ID?

    Answer

    Expo ID is a login ID used commonly for all Expo-related services.
    By registering Expo ID, you will be able to conveniently experience a variety of services.

  • What happens to my reservations if I cancel Expo ID?

    Answer

    Reservations will no longer be available.
    Therefore, be sure to cancel your reservation before withdrawing.
    Please note that if you cancel Expo ID, you will no longer be able to receive refunds or discounts on parking fees.

  • Is there a contact point where I can make general inquiries about the Expo P&R parking?

  • Please tell me how to cancel my membership.

    Answer

    Since you log in to this system using Expo ID, the system does not have a cancellation function.
    If you wish to cancel Expo ID membership, please log in to Expo ID and then click on "Cancel membership here" in the "Expo ID menu" to cancel your membership.
    However, once you cancel your membership, you will no longer be able to make reservations.
    Therefore, be sure to cancel your reservation before withdrawing.
    Please note that if you cancel Expo ID, you will no longer be able to receive refunds or discounts on parking fees.

  • What languages can Expo P&R parking reservation system be used in?

    Answer

    You can select the following languages from the "TOP" screen or "Menu" screen.

2. About Expo ID

  • I can't log in to Expo ID.

    Answer

    Expo ID or password may be incorrect.
    Please make sure you have entered the correct Expo ID and password and try again.
    If you have entered the wrong password multiple times, your account may be locked.
    Please try again after a while.
    If you have not yet registered for Expo ID, please register.

  • If I forget my password, can I have it reissued?

    Answer

    You can reset your password by going to the "Forgot your password?" section on the login page.
    If you have registered for Expo ID through a proxy, please confirm your password with the proxy registrant.

3. Parking

  • What is a shared parking area?

    Answer

    A "shared parking section" is a parking space designated for people who have difficulty moving around, such as pregnant women, people with temporary injuries, people using strollers, and elderly people.
    We are making arrangements to the extent possible for each parking lot, such as setting up parking spaces near P&R shuttle bus stops.
    We have set up this facility to ensure that anyone can visit comfortably, so please feel free to use it if you are eligible.

  • How long does it take from each parking lot to the Expo site?

    Answer

    The travel times from each parking lot to the Expo site are as follows.

    ・Maishima Parking Lot - Shuttle bus to the venue (approx. 15 minutes)
    ・From Sakai Parking Lot to the venue by shuttle bus: approx. 35 minutes
    ・From Amagasaki Parking Lot to the venue by shuttle bus (approx. 30 minutes)

    ・About Yumeshima Accessible Parking
    The distance from Yumeshima Accessible Parking to the venue entrance (East Gate) is approximately 370m.
    The first 50m near the car park exit has a gentle gradient of about 2% (a difference in elevation of 20cm every 10m), and the remaining 320m has almost no gradient.

  • What is the recommended parking?

    Answer

    Congestion is expected on public roads and expressways near the venue.
    Therefore, we display recommended parking lots based on your departure point to help you avoid crowds.

  • Can I use the parking lot without making a reservation?

    Answer

    Please make a reservation here by the day before.

  • Are there toilets?

    Answer

    Men's, women's and barrier-free toilets are available in each parking lot (except Maishima Expo P&R Parking Lot D).
    If you are using Maishima Expo P&R Parking Lot D, please use the toilets in the neighboring Maishima Expo P&R Parking Lot C.

  • What hours is the parking lot available?

    Answer

    From the entry time selected when making a reservation until 23:30 on the same day (Yumeshima Accessible Parking and Yumeshima Bicycle Parking are open until 23:00).

  • Can I park my car after midnight?

    Answer

    The final exit time is 11:30pm and parking will not be possible after that time (11pm for Yumeshima Accessible Parking and Yumeshima Bicycle Parking).

4. Vehicle license number

  • What should I do if I don't know Vehicle license number until the day of rental?

    Answer

    Vehicle license number registration and changes can be made on the day of use.
    However, there may be delays in communicating information to the entry gate, which may result in the gate not opening.
    In this case, please hold Parking QR verification code on the "Reservation Details" screen over the device at the entrance gate to enter the parking lot.
    You can go to the "Reservation Details" screen by following the steps below.

  • How do I register or change Vehicle license number?

    Answer

    You can register Vehicle license number when making a reservation.
    You can also register or change your reservation information from the "Reservation Details" screen after making a reservation.
    Please check the steps below and register or change your information.

    2.Register in the "Vehicle license number" section.

  • Can I use the parking lot even if Vehicle license number is not registered?

    Answer

    Even if Vehicle license number is not registered, you can still use the parking lot by holding Parking QR verification code on the "Reservation details" screen over the device at the entrance gate. However, we ask for your cooperation in registering in advance to ensure smooth entry.

  • Can I enter the same Vehicle license number for all my reservations at once?

    Answer

    You cannot enter the same Vehicle license number for all reservations at once.
    Please register Vehicle license number for each reservation.

5. Usage fees

  • How much is the parking fee at the Expo P&R parking lot?

    Answer

    You can check the usage fees by following the steps below.

    2.You can view the fee schedule for each parking lot by vehicle type.

  • What is the peak hour surcharge?

    Answer

    In order to alleviate congestion, we have implemented a time-based surcharge for reservations made between 8am and 10am, when peak usage is expected.
    To find out more about time-of-day surcharges, follow the steps below.

    2.At the bottom of the vehicle type specific parking fee table, there is a note explaining the additional charges depending on the time period.

  • Can I get a refund if I don't use the parking lot on the day?

    Answer

    Refunds will not be given on the day of use.
    Please note that reservations cannot be cancelled or refunded if made after 11:59pm on the day before use.

6. Vehicle types

  • Can I specify a parking space?

    Answer

    Parking spaces cannot be specified.
    On the day, please follow the instructions of the on-site staff and park in an available space.

  • Can I use bicycles and electric scooters?

    Answer

    Bicycles and electric scooters are also available.
    When making a reservation, please select "Bicycle/Electric Kickboard (Specially Designated Small Motorized Bicycle)" in the "Vehicle Type" field.
    An electric kickboard (specially specified small motorized bicycle) is one that meets certain conditions, such as not exceeding a speed of 6 km/h when the maximum speed indicator light is flashing.

  • Can I use welfare vehicles?

    Answer

    Welfare vehicles are also available.
    There are three types of parking spaces in Yumeshima Accessible Parking.

    - 102 spaces for vehicles in which the driver uses a wheelchair or a wheelchair user is riding with the vehicle [3.5m wide parking spaces]

  • Are there any vehicle restrictions?

    Answer

    Vehicles under 2.5m in height can be reserved as light or regular cars. Large and medium-sized passenger vehicles such as large buses and microbuses should be reserved through Bus terminal entry/exit reservation system.
    There are also separate parking spaces for motorcycles and bicycles.

7. About EVs

  • Are the fees different for EVs, light cars, and regular cars?

    Answer

    There is no difference in the fees for EVs and light or regular cars.
    Please check the fees for each parking lot from "Expo P&R Fees/Time Required" on the "TOP" screen.

  • Is there a parking lot where I can charge my EV?

    Answer

    EVs can be charged at the Expo P&R parking lots (Maishima A, Sakai A, Amagasaki) and Yumeshima Accessible Parking.
    Advance reservations are required, and when selecting the vehicle type, please select "EV vehicle* (for those who wish to charge in the parking lot)."

  • Can I reserve an EV vehicle in the regular car slot?

    Answer

    Please note that although reservations are possible, charging is only available in designated parking areas.
    In addition, EVs can be charged at the Expo P&R parking lots (Maishima A, Sakai A, Amagasaki) and Yumeshima Accessible Parking.

  • Is there a charging fee?

    Answer

    There is no charging fee.

  • Is the EV charging available in the parking lot fast or normal?

    Answer

    Normal charging.

  • How long does it take to fully charge?

    Answer

    Each vehicle can be charged at 3 to 6 kW per hour (please note that this varies depending on the vehicle model and number of parked vehicles, etc.).

  • How do I reserve an EV vehicle?

    Answer

    1. On the reservation entry screen, select "EV vehicle *For those who wish to charge in the parking lot."
    2. On Reservation details screen, click on "*To use the EV charger, you must first download the dedicated app from here." to download the app and follow the instructions to register.

8. Discounts on Expo P&R charges using ETC

  • What is the ETC card number?

    Answer

    This is the number printed on your ETC card.

  • Can I enter the same ETC card number for all my reservations?

    Answer

    You cannot enter the same ETC card number for all reservations at once.
    Please register your ETC card number for each reservation.

  • How do I register my ETC card number?

    Answer

    You can register your ETC card number by following the steps below (up to the day before you use it).

    1. Click "View reservation list" on the "TOP" screen to go to the "Reservation List" screen.
    2. Click the button to the right of the reservation information you want to check the details for to go to the "Reservation details" screen.
    3. Click "Register/Change ETC Card Number" to move to the Expo P&R fee discount conditions screen for ETC.
    4. Check the details and press "Agree and proceed" to move to the "ETC card number registration/change" screen.
    5. Enter your ETC card number and press [Register].
    6. When the message "ETC card number registration completed!" is displayed, the ETC card number registration is complete.

  • Can I change the ETC card number I registered?

    Answer

    You can change your ETC card number by clicking "Register/Change ETC Card Number" at the bottom of each "Reservation details" screen (up to the day before the date of use).
    You can go to the "Reservation details" screen by following the steps below.

  • How do I delete my ETC card number?

    Answer

    You can delete it by going to "Register/change ETC card number" on Reservation details screen (up to the day before the date of use).

    The discount amount varies depending on the vehicle type and location of use.

  • When will the parking fee discount apply?

    Answer

    In principle, the discount will be applied the day after the date of use, but it may take some time to determine the discount, and the discount may be applied up to one month later.

  • Do I need to apply for a discount after using the parking lot?

    Answer

    No application is required, and the discount will be applied to those who meet the discount conditions from the day after the date of use. Please check the statement of the credit card used for payment to see if the discount has been applied by the month following the date of use. You will also be notified by email after the discount has been applied.

  • When can I register my ETC card number?

    Answer

    You can register your ETC card number after completing payment.

9. Reservations

  • What is Provisional reservation?

    Answer

    If you make a reservation more than 31days before your parking use, the reservation will be considered a "Provisional reservation" and payment will be possible from 30days before the date of your parking use.

    Please make the payment using the payment request email that will be sent to you at a later date.
    Once you have completed payment of your usage fee by following the instructions on the screen, the message "Reservation completed" will be displayed and your parking reservation will be complete.

    *Please note that if payment is not made by the due date, your order will be automatically canceled.

  • Are children included in the passenger count?

    Answer

    P&R shuttle buses have a seating capacity limit, so children under elementary school age must be included in the passenger count if they are using a seat.

  • Can I use the facility earlier or for a longer period than I have reserved?

    Answer

    If you wish to change your usage time, please cancel the current reservation and make a new reservation.

  • Where can I check the parking fees?

    Answer

    You can check the Expo P&R fees/travel times here on the "TOP" screen.

  • Where can I check information about available parking spaces?

    Answer

    You can check parking availability by following the steps below.

    3.Enter your vehicle information and press "Next".

    4.You can check this by selecting the "Date of Use" and "Expected Time of Entry" on the "Parking Lot Selection" screen.
    If the scheduled arrival time is available, there is availability.

  • Can I make a reservation from a feature phone?

    Answer

    Reservations cannot be made from flip phones or feature phones.
    Please use a smartphone, tablet, or other device.

  • Are there any age restrictions for booking?

    Answer

    Anyone of any age can make a reservation as long as they have Expo ID.

  • Can I reserve a parking space up until just before I use it?

    Answer

    Reservations can be made up until the day before the day of use.

    *However, after making a reservation, Vehicle license number and number of passengers can be changed up until just before use.

  • Is there a limit to the number of passengers I can book?

    Answer

    The passenger numbers are limited as follows:

10. How to make a reservation

  • What should I do if the message "Fully booked" appears and I cannot select the date of use?

    Answer

    If it says "Fully booked all day," please choose another parking lot or another date.

  • Can I reserve a parking space together with purchasing an admission ticket to the Expo site?

    Answer

    Parking reservations cannot be made in conjunction with admission tickets.

  • Can I reserve multiple vehicles for the same date? Can I reserve multiple days at once?

    Answer

    You can't do either.
    Only one reservation can be made for the same date with one Expo ID.
    If you need to make a reservation for multiple days, please make a reservation for the required number of days again from [New Reservation] on the "TOP" screen.
    *A reservation number will be issued for each reservation.

  • How do I reserve a parking space?

    Answer

    Reservations can be made through the "Expo P&R parking reservation system."
    To reserve a parking space, please follow the steps below:

    1.Open Expo P&R parking reservation system.

    2.On the "TOP" screen, press "New Reservation/Check Availability" to move to the "Parking Reservation" screen.

    *If this is your first time using the service, the "How to Use" screen will be displayed. Check the details and press "Next".
    *If you check "Don't show this again", it will not be displayed next time.

    3.Select the type of vehicle you will be using the parking lot for from the list.

    4.Enter Vehicle license number.
    ・Region name
    Classification number
    ・Hiragana
    ・Designated number

    * If you are unsure, please check "I don't know yet."
    *Excluding some types of motorcycles, bicycles, etc.

    5.Select the number of passengers, including the driver, who will be using the parking lot from the list.

    *Only the number of people selected in "Number of passengers" can board the shuttle bus.

    6.If you wish to use a parking space for people with disabilities, check "Use."

    7.Click Next.

    8.Select the "Departure point" from which the person making the reservation plans to depart.

    9.Select "Parking" to head to the Expo site.

    *To reduce congestion around the parking lots, "recommended parking lots" will be displayed based on your departure point.

    10.Select the "Date of Use" for which you will use the parking lot from the list.

    11.Select the "Expected Arrival Time" from the list.

    12.The total amount will be displayed, so press [Confirm].

    13.Check the reservation details, and if there are no problems, check the "Reservation service terms and parking terms of use" and check "Agree."

    14.Click [Complete Provisional reservation].

    *If you want to make any changes, press "Edit" to go to the "Parking Reservation" screen.

    15.Please make the payment using the payment request email that will be sent to you at a later date.
    Once you have completed payment of your usage fee by following the instructions on the screen, the message "Reservation completed" will be displayed and your parking reservation will be complete.

    *If you make a reservation for a parking space for a date more than 30 days in the future, the reservation will be considered Provisional reservation reservation.
    *Payment can be made 30 days prior to the date of use of the parking lot.
    *Please note that if payment is not made by the due date, your order will be automatically canceled.

  • Can I make a reservation without Expo ID?

    Answer

    You cannot make a reservation without Expo ID.
    Please refer to Expo ID registration manual to register, then log in to the parking reservation site.

  • What information do I need when making a reservation?

    Answer

    The following information is required when making a reservation:

11. How to change

  • After completing the reservation, can I change only the date of use?

    Answer

    You cannot change only the date of use.
    If you wish to change the date of use, please cancel the current reservation and make a new reservation.

  • Can I modify my reservation?

    Answer

    You can change Vehicle license number, number of passengers, and ETC card number from the "Reservation Details" screen.
    If you wish to modify any other items, please cancel your reservation and make a new one.
    You can go to the "Reservation Details" screen by following the steps below.

  • How can I check the information about my reserved parking space?

    Please check "Parking" on the "Reservation Details" screen.
    To open the "Reservation Details" screen, follow the steps below.

    Answer

    This information is required when making an inquiry, and is an 11-digit number that is assigned when making a reservation.
    You can check this on the "Reservation Details" screen.
    To open the "Reservation Details" screen, follow the steps below.

  • If I cancel a reservation, will the record of the reservation be deleted?

    A record of any cancelled reservations will also be kept.
    You can check all reservations, including canceled reservations, from the "Reservation List" screen.
    Click [View reservation list] on the "TOP" screen to go to the "Reservation List" screen.

  • I want to confirm my reservation details.

    Answer

    You can check the contents by following the steps below.

    3.Check the reservation number displayed on the "Reservation Details" screen.

13. Cancellation Policy

  • Are there any cancellation fees?

    Answer

    There is no cancellation fee.
    However, please note that cancellations cannot be made on the day and no refunds will be given.

    *Reservations can be cancelled up until the day before the date of use.

  • I would like to cancel my reservation.

    Answer

    You can cancel your reservation by clicking the [Cancel Reservation] button at the bottom of the "Reservation Details" screen.

    To open the "Reservation Details" screen, follow the steps below.

  • If I accidentally cancel my reservation, can I cancel it?

    Answer

    Reservations cannot be cancelled.
    Please make a reservation again.

  • How many days in advance should I cancel my parking reservation?

    Answer

    Please note that reservations can be cancelled up until the day before the day of use.

  • Can I cancel multiple reservations at once?

    Answer

    Multiple reservations cannot be cancelled at the same time.
    You will need to cancel each reservation separately.

    *Reservations can be cancelled up until the day before the date of use.

  • If I cancel my reservation within the payment period, will I get a refund?

    Answer

    If you cancel up until the day before your trip, you will receive a refund.
    Please note that cancellations are not possible after the date of use.

  • I canceled my reservation up to the day before the reservation date, but when I look at my credit card statement, it appears that there has been a charge.

    Please note that in Sakai and Amagasaki, the shuttle buses are tourist buses and therefore cannot be accessed by wheelchair users.

  • Is the shuttle bus available for free?

  • Can I bring a wheelchair on the shuttle bus?

    Maishima's shuttle bus is a route bus, and passengers can ride inside the bus.
    The shuttle bus in Sakai and Amagasaki is a tourist bus type and it is possible to load a wheelchair into the trunk (passengers will need to get on and off the bus using the entrance stairs themselves).

  • How to reserve the shuttle bus

15. Payment

  • When can I start paying?

  • Can I pay the usage fee on site?

    Answer

    Payment is by advance settlement only.

  • Will there be any payment on-site?

21. About the Yumeshima Accessible Parking

  • Can I use Yumeshima Accessible Parking even if I have an admission ticket other than Special Discount Ticket ticket?

    Answer

    The Special ticket can be used by persons with physical disabilities, persons with intellectual disabilities, persons with mental disabilities, wounded and sick retired soldiers, hibakusha, patients with designated intractable diseases, children with specified chronic pediatric diseases, and those accompanying such persons (one per person).

    (1) Persons with physical disabilities
    Persons who hold a physical disability certificate as stipulated in Article 15 Clause 4 of the Act on Welfare of Physically Disabled Persons

    (2) Persons with intellectual disabilities
    Persons who hold a medical rehabilitation handbook as stipulated in Article 2 of the Medical Rehabilitation Handbook System (Vice-Minister Notification No.156 from Children and Families Bureau of the Ministry of Health and Welfare on September 27, 1973)
